Quarterly staff meetings include “Self Care” activities as a way for employees to decrease stress, increase relaxation and deal with challenging emotional situations that they face in the work environment. Victim Services manager, Elizabeth Wise hosted a volunteer appreciation luncheon on April 29, 2017 where she recognized volunteers for their service to the agency. A big thank you to each one!!
What a great way to start the day! Ten wonderful volunteers from NewSpring Church arrived bright and early and began painting our modular building that houses our support staff. The building was in much need of a facelift and the fresh coat of paint was part of the campus 3 year master plan. When completed, it will blend perfectly in with the other buildings at the Greenwood campus.
THANKS to these wonderful folks who took time from this Beautiful Saturday morning to make this happen and to Brandon Holder for coordinating the project!!

Patsy and her dog Brook are active members of the agency’s Animal Assisted Therapy program. Education specialist, Jennifer Azzarano recently conducted outreach programs for the Laurens campus of the South Carolina Empowerment Center (SCEC). The topic areas were healthy communication, social media safety, the importance of effective communication and respect.

The GHS Eagle Tennis Team conducted a drive to help secure donations for Beyond Abuse. In collaboration with the Against The Grain Program at Brewer Middle School, The GHS Tennis Team collected stuffed animals, hand sanitizer, kleenex and sanitary wipes. The event was coordinated by Howard Green.
Dozens of supporters flocked to the event to support the agency. What a great night!
Beyond Staff and volunteers will participate in this colorful event sponsored by The Greenwood Mall to being awareness to local non-profits. Please come out and support us as we Color For A Cause on Thursday March 9th, 2017 from 5-7 pm.
