It’s On Us National Campaign

National Efforts: It’s On Us

Last Friday the White House launched a new campaign to address campus sexual assault. TheIt’s On Us campaign targets bystanders and addresses how as a community, it is our responsibility to end sexual violence.

As an official partner of this campaign, RAINN wants to help your center take action. Below are 5 ways you can get involved:

  1. Encourage people to take the pledge. Promote ItsOnUs.org to so that your community can take the pledge.

A message from SCCADVASA -VAWA – 20 years old

Most women experience physical abuse in their lifetime. In fact, nearly one-quarter of women experience a physical or sexual assault by an intimate partner and seven in ten assaults against women are perpetrated by an intimate partner. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the landmark Violence Against Women Act. Let’s raise awareness of this heinous plague and do something to encourage everyone to protect our mothers, sisters, daughters, girlfriends, wives and grandmothers. It’s time.

If you haven’t done so already please sign the petition and pass along to your local folks as well. The petition was created by the National Network to End DV.
