Education staff conducts program at SCEC Laurens

Education specialist, Jennifer Azzarano recently conducted outreach programs for the Laurens campus of the South Carolina Empowerment Center (SCEC).   The topic areas were healthy communication, social media safety, the importance of effective communication and respect.

There were approximately 60 attendees at the after-school program ranging from 6th grade to 10th grade.

Thanks to GHS Tennis and BMS Against the Grain donate to agency

The GHS Eagle Tennis Team conducted a drive to help secure donations for Beyond Abuse.  In collaboration with the Against The Grain Program at Brewer Middle School, The GHS Tennis Team collected stuffed animals, hand sanitizer, kleenex and sanitary wipes.  The event was coordinated by Howard Green.

 

 

Color for a Cause – a colorful night!!

Dozens of supporters flocked to the event to support the agency.  What a great night!

 

 

COLOR for a CAUSE March 9th 2017

Beyond Staff and volunteers will participate in this colorful event sponsored by The Greenwood Mall to being awareness to local non-profits.  Please come out and support us as we Color For A Cause on Thursday March 9th, 2017 from 5-7 pm.

Greenwood County Community Foundation awards grant for PCT training

Beyond Abuse was recently awarded a $4000 grant from the Greenwood County Community Foundation.  The funds will allow therapists to be formally trained in Protection Clarification Therapy (PCT).   PCT helps strengthen the role and responsibility of the non-offending caregiver in the outcome for the child victims.

Abbeville Police Dept donates to Agency

On Dec. 29, 2016 Chief Mark Hall and Sgt. Cynthia Kennedy with the Abbeville Police Dept. presented the agency with a check for $500 from the proceeds of the November “No Shave” challenge.    A big THANK YOU to our supporters and service partners in Abbeville!!!
